Where is Materials Direct Located?

Materials Direct is located in Milton Keynes in the UK. We are a UK manufacturing Company able to support a global market. Our online presence enables super-fast supply of custom-made pads and gaskets in a variety of products to protect your electronics and shape your LED lights.

What format of drawing should I load for a custom pad or gasket?

We need a .pdf of your custom pad or gasket for dimension checks and a .dxf for manufacturing purposes (a .pdf can be used to manufacture if a .dxf is not available - This method is not preferred) Click Here to see our Drawing Guide

What is the delivery time and cost?

Production time is as low as 24hours for materials we hold in stock. Cost is calculated online and with NO TOOLING charges ever!. Discounts for longer lead times are given on top of the already lower cost prices because we hand the savings in administration to our customers.

How can I check my delivery status?

Delivery is by UPS and tracking details are available for your order.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

Yes we work out the cost of shipping globally and add it to your quotation.

Can I track my order?

Order status is available on your dashboard in your accounts.

How do I cancel my order?

Orders once placed are non-cancelable as the materials are very specific and the parts once allocated are not available or fit to be sold to other customers as they are custom built.

What is your return policy?

We do not offer a returns policy as the parts are custom-made to order.

Do you offer a warranty?

Warranty conditions are in our Terms and conditions. We warranty the standard of production and material performance and parameters are given in the datasheet and our supplier's warranties are reciprocated to our customers. We do not however go beyond that and you should be sure the materials you order are fit for purpose before purchasing.

What payment options do you offer?

We offer a credit account application and will need to see references and a good credit score. Once in place with materials direct, you can enjoy placing orders and scheduling them for deliveries over 12 months. Paying for them also on up to 60 days credit for applicable customers.

I can not find what im looking for, can I get some help?

In the first instance email, you request and an advisor will contact you. We are adding to our range of products offered and look forward to hearing which products you would like us to stock for you and convert into parts.

Are there restrictions on shipping times?

We ship daily and the cut-off time each day is 12.00 midday. For example, if you order before 12.00 midday on a Monday on a 24 hours service we will dispatch on Tuesday. If you order after 12.00 midday on Monday we will dispatch on Wednesday.

Is there a minimum order quantity or value?

There is no minimum quantity or value for your order with us.

Do you deliver on weekends?

All dates and times are specified as working hours or days excluding UK bank or National Holidays.

What are Delivery Options and how do i register?

Delivery Options is a new and easier way of paying and scheduling multiple shipments for parts on Materials Direct. You firstly need to sign-up for a Credit Account HERE. Once you have registered for a Credit Account your account will be active and you can then place Delivery Options orders. You can then log in and you will have the Delivery Options available to you on the product page. You can then schedule multiple shipments per order and specify delivery dates for each scheduled delivery. Payment will be automatically taken from your pre-agreed credit account once the order has been placed.
